What's New?
Only our brand spanking shiny new website, that's what.
It may have taken blood, sweat and tears to build.
Metaphorically of course...no Locatrixians were harmed in the process.
But it is here, locatrix.com and ready for you to immerse yourself in the world of PlanStudio and PlanSafe.
We’re confident the new site is easy to navigate. A one-stop shop for your indoor mapping and fire safety needs with quick access to all our products.
If you are new to Locatrix, you can even trial PlanStudio for free, a try before you buy.
Using automation and digital self-help guides to lead you through onboarding, you will be prompted, when needed, every step of the way to be elevated to “Indoor Mapping Hero” Status.
We didn't stop at a new website, though...
PlanSafe & PlanStudio?
PlanSafe...
PlanSafe has been a staple of Locatrix for some time and we thought the Product Development Team might relish a new mission. Especially since the launch of PlanSafe Mobile has been so well received.
With that in mind we put ourselves in your shoes, and we asked:
- What would help our Partners and their clients?
- What would make it easier for end users to keep track of their training?
- How could we help keep tabs on all documents being up to date?
- What if we could see a visual overview of all that essential data....
Here’s the result we have in mind...The Compliance Dashboard (on track for delivery by Feb)
A visual snap shot to help you track the tasks that need completing. For those tasks that are outstanding and a reminder for when you can give yourselves a pat on the back for a job kept compliant.
These are the elements that you can see.
Take a look under the hood, we have developed enhancements to both the speed and quality of PlanSafe.
We have also considered how best to support the Admins.
Automated notifications are set to spot any shortfalls in training, or compliance documents, before they become an issue.
Guaranteeing better use of an Admins time than ever before.
Look out for these changes as they land in the New Year.
PlanStudio...
PlanStudio is not being left behind either. 2023 sees further refinements to be delivered directly to your fingertips.
We’ve all had those moments out on site where the internet connection disappears off the face of the earth. Never to be seen again. Impacting on any plans you are working on at the time.
We knew this was a challenge just asking for a solution...so we give to you “Offline Mode”.
In “Offline Mode” you can work on plans when you have lost internet connectivity. “Offline Mode” gives you more flexibility. Regardless of whether you are working in the bowels of a basement car park or the centre of the earth, PlanStudio will have your back.
For PlanStudio Admins, better enablement for managing user permissions is just the beginning of a new chapter for PlanStudio which we aim to develop to provide Partners with more opportunities to meet their customer’s needs.
Got to love this time of year, it's all about the giving.

What happens when you send a CEO, Advisory Board Member and Executive Manager of Sales to Singapore?
It sounds like the beginnings of a mildly amusing Dad joke, but this time it was the beginning of something altogether more interesting.
Not one for resting on his laurels, John Hummelstad was spied on the ground in Singapore along with Cameron Scott and Andreas Deakin.
Beating the drum of PlanStudio and highlighting how our humble indoor mapping software is more than just “evacuation diagrams”.
We have seen the potential for PlanStudio to change the course of the building and facility management industries and we’re looking to take these solutions to a wider audience.
The “Digital Thin Twin” developed for these industries, is a practical alternative to a Digital Twin but still provides the essential data needed to run a large corporation on a day to day basis. Clientele in Asia and North America are quick to catch on to this rising trend with PlanStudio proving to be the response to these pain points.
There are opportunities to be discovered and solutions to be found, not just in plans but way finding, space management and asset management.
There is more on this Singapore story to come, but for now...
